NoticeStamp

Send it, collect acknowledgments and the yes/no election, keep the proof

The template is free. Proving each employee got it, in the right language, and recording their emergency contact and detention-notification election is the work. NoticeStamp does that with server timestamps, reminders and SHA-256-stamped PDFs.

Deadlines

By February 1 every year for current employees, and at hire for new employees (§1553(a)).

How to deliver it

A stand-alone written notice, by the way you normally communicate with employees (personal service, email or text), if it can reasonably be expected to arrive within one business day.

Penalties

Up to “five hundred dollars ($500) per employee for each violation”; for the emergency-contact provisions (§1555), up to “five hundred dollars ($500) per employee for each day the violation occurs, up to a maximum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) per employee” (§1558(d)).
